St John of God Social Outreach, Raphael Service provides support and specialised mental health services to parents and families where the parent is experiencing a perinatal infant mental health problem and/or where there are parent-infant relationship issues. The service is based in the community and provided at no cost to clients
Your role at St John of God Social Outreach
We are seeking applications for an Accredited Mental Health Clinician (Social Worker or Psychologist) to join our Raphael Services team on a permanent part-time basis, in Geelong, Victoria.
In this role you will have a unique opportunity to work as part of a specialist multidisciplinary team in the provision of integrated care to women, their infants, partners and families experiencing perinatal and infant mental health problems.
The Position
- Provides advanced level clinical services including a range of individualised and group clinical care based on professional training reflecting current ethical clinical practice as required
- Provides comprehensive assessment and care planning monitoring at and advanced level for complex and general caseloads
- Ensures effective multidisciplinary teamwork through professional communication and comprehensive liaison with colleagues, patient/carers and service providers
- Liaise with compensable bodies, financial institutions and external care agencies where appropriate
- Liaise with multi-disciplinary team to promote effective communication including verbal and written feedback to referring Doctor
Successful applicants will have tertiary qualifications in Psychology or Social Work and hold current registration with relevant professional body (AASW / AHPRA).
Applicants must hold or be eligible for a Medicare provider number. Experience running groups and providing individual therapy will be highly regarded.

We can offer you
- Psychologist: $79,551 to $118,246 (pro-rata for part-time) plus 12% Superannuation
- Social Worker: $75,308 to $109,067 (pro-rata for part-time) plus 12% Superannuation
- Permanent position, working 22.8 hours per week
Salary packaging up to $18,550 on a range of benefits such as mortgage, rent, meal entertainment, holiday accommodation or other everyday living expenses as well as options to salary package benefits above the FBT cap on items such as:

additional superannuation
