Position Descriptor:

Angle Vale Primary School is seeking applications for a Highly Accomplished Teacher (HAT) for appointment to a fixed term, full-time vacancy for 3 years. The suitable applicant will work with the leadership team to implement effective change strategies and provide leadership across the school community within a curriculum focus (Literacy or Numeracy).

Selection criteria - the successful applicant will have evidence of the following:

• Professional practice: Demonstrated ability to translate effective skills into practice and also successfully impact their colleagues' professional practice.

• Engagement: Can provide relevant opportunities for parents/carers to be involved in their children's learning.

• Student learning: Demonstrated ability to support colleagues to select from a flexible and effective repertoire of teaching strategies to cater to all learners' needs, and to improve student learning outcomes, learning assessment and reporting to parents/carers.

• Knowledge: Has current and comprehensive knowledge of content and teaching strategies in the nominated focus area.

• Safe working practices: Can demonstrate knowledge of and commitment to promoting and creating a safe and inclusive work environment; and the legislative requirements of Equal Opportunity and Work Health and Safety legislation.

• Professional conduct: Demonstrated ability to use their highly developed interpersonal, communication and presentation skills to build productive relationships across their site and conduct themselves professionally and ethically at all times.

Applications will be assessed against the selection criteria. Applicants must be fully registered teachers in South Australia who are currently certified as a Highly Accomplished Teacher. Certification status must be maintained to stay in this position
