Assistant Practice Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operation of the practice, ensuring we provide outstanding care for our patients
  • Supporting the administration team by covering the reception desk when necessary
  • Maintaining systems and processes to ensure efficiency of service and clinical excellence
  • Working safely within the guidelines of the RACGP 5th Edition
  • Support the PM with managing people and culture; including rostering, onboarding and training of new team members and ongoing training and development.
  • Cultivating a professional work environment that is friendly and service-focused
  • Financial management tasks such as receipting, petty cash reconciliation and monthly reporting.

Essentials:

  • Previous management experience in a General Practice or other medical specialist environment.
  • Proven success in leading and engaging a multidisciplinary team, building and managing professional relationships with employees and contractors.
  • A positive and professional attitude and a desire to make a difference in the lives of our patients.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage the demands of the day-to-day operation of the practice; this requires adaptability, the ability to multitask and work well under pressure.
  • The role is patient-focused and requires excellent interpersonal communication and customer service skills.
  • We utilise a range of clinical and scheduling software which requires highly developed computer and IT skills.

Highly Regarded:

  • Experience using Best Practice software.
  • Accreditation experience
