- Child safety is a shared responsibility. Every person involved in our school has an important role in promoting child safety and wellbeing and promptly raising any issues or concerns about a child's safety.
- We are committed to regularly reviewing our child safe practices, and seeking input from our students, families, staff, and volunteers to inform our ongoing strategies.
- Provide a child safe environment in accordance with the child safe standards;
- Participate in child safety and wellbeing induction and training provided by the school and always follow the school's child safety and wellbeing policies and procedures;
- Act in accordance with our Child Safety Code of Conduct;
- Identify and raise concerns about child safety issues in accordance with our Child Safety Responding and Reporting Obligations Policy and Procedures, including following the Four Critical Actions for Schools;
- Ensure students' views are taken seriously and their voices are heard about decisions that affect their lives;
- Model and promote the vision and values of the school;
- Attend and participate in staff meetings as required;
- Be actively involved in regular staff devotions and prayer.
- Assist in the delivery of evidence-based intervention programs. This involves working closely with students to improve foundational skills and helping them reach targeted academic milestones.
- Work with students individually or in small groups to reinforce learning objectives and ensure they understand key concepts. Support classroom teachers by providing additional attention to students needing guidance, fostering an inclusive and productive learning environment.
- Work closely with classroom teachers and support staff to implement tailored educational strategies that meet individual student needs. Provide guidance on effective differentiation techniques and inclusive practices.
- Communicate regularly with teachers to share observations, update on student progress, and adapt interventions as necessary. Participate in team meetings and contribute to discussions on best practices for student support.
- Provide direct learning support to students across all grade levels (K-12), addressing academic, social, and emotional challenges through targeted interventions and strategies.
- Assist students in developing positive behaviours, self-regulation, and emotional resilience.
