Young's Earthmoving/Karijini Civil and Mining is a family Owner/Operator contractor who has provided value-added earthmoving services to various Tier 1 mining clients for over 30 years within remote areas of Western Australia.

As our Safety Advisor, you'll work directly with the Project Manager and play a pivotal role in strengthening our positive safety culture across multiple Pilbara sites. We're looking for a motivated safety professional with experience who thrives on supporting people and fostering safe, high-performing workplaces.

  • FIFO from Perth
  • Permanent – Full Time
  • 8/6 or 2/2 Family friendly Roster
  • 12-hour days, all day shift - no night shift
  • Superannuation paid on all hours worked

Duties:

Reporting to the HSE Manager you will provide professional advice and hands-on support to all employees by;

  • Ensuring our safety systems, policies and procedures are effectively implemented
  • Assisting employees in understanding and fulfilling their safety obligations and responsibilities
  • Conducting incident investigations and create reports and recommendations
  • Providing resolutions of safety issues with employees and clients
  • Develop and maintain internal and external relationships
  • Ensure audits and inspections are undertaken in accordance with site and legislative requirements

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum of Certificate IV in OHS with 2 years relevant industry experience;
  • Earthmoving knowledge and background; (Desirable)
  • Ability to develop excellent working relationships within the company and our clients
  • Proven experience in document control and change management
  • Ability to problem solve and come up with solutions
  • Excellent time management skills and attention to detail
  • National Police Clearance (current);
  • C Class Drivers Licence (current);
