About the Role

We're seeking an experienced
WHS Advisor
to provide site-based support across multiple civil projects in Darwin. The role involves a mix of site engagement, documentation, inspections, and coordination with project management and subcontractors to ensure safe systems of work are effectively implemented and maintained.

You'll work closely with Supervisors, Engineers and Project Managers to maintain safe systems of work, manage compliance, and support continual improvement under ISO 45001, 9001 and 14001 frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular inspections, audits, and risk assessments on active worksites.
  • Oversee subcontractor compliance, including SWMS reviews and on-site verification.
  • Lead or support incident investigations using ICAM methodology and manage corrective actions.
  • Develop, review and monitor SWMS, SWPs, and project-specific risk documentation.
  • Coordinate inductions, training and licence records through
    Skytrust, SharePoint
    and
    HammerTech
    .
  • Contribute to ISO audit preparation and client safety documentation.
  • Provide practical WHS guidance to Supervisors and crews to ensure safe, efficient operations.

Skills and Experience

  • Cert IV in Work Health and Safety
    (minimum).
  • Experience in
    civil construction
    safety roles.
  • Strong understanding of NT WHS legislation and Codes of Practice.
  • Confident managing subcontractor safety and client interfaces.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft
    Office Suite
    .
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • ICAM Lead Investigator certification highly regarded.
