About the Role

We are seeking a
Lead Forgerock IAM Engineer
to drive the design, development, and implementation of enterprise Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions. This role requires strong hands-on technical expertise in the ForgeRock Identity Platform and proven leadership capabilities to guide a team of IAM engineers.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the
    design, development, and deployment
    of Forgerock-based IAM solutions, including authentication, authorisation, directory, and identity API services.
  • Provide
    ongoing support, troubleshooting, and maintenance
    of identity platforms, including participation in a shared 24/7 on-call support rotation.
  • Deliver
    federated identity solutions
    using OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, and SAML 2.0.
  • Implement
    CI/CD pipelines
    to ensure automation, secure deployments, and robust testing for IAM solutions.
  • Provide
    technical leadership and mentoring
    to the IAM engineering team, ensuring adoption of best practices in coding, design, and DevSecOps.
  • Collaborate with
    Enterprise Architects, Product Owners, and security stakeholders
    to align IAM strategy with business and compliance requirements.
  • Build
    custom integrations and extensions
    using Groovy, JavaScript, and Java.
  • Ensure IAM solutions meet
    regulatory compliance, risk management, and operational resilience
    requirements.

What You've Done

  • Extensive hands-on experience with the
    ForgeRock Identity Platform
    (Access Manager, Identity Manager, Directory Services, Identity Gateway).
  • Strong understanding of
    IAM standards and protocols
    : OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SAML 2.0, SCIM.
  • Designed and delivered
    federated identity solutions
    in enterprise-scale or financial services environments.
  • Proficiency in
    scripting/programming
    : Groovy, JavaScript, Java (other languages a plus).
  • Hands-on experience with
    CI/CD, automation, and containerisation
    (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Docker, Kubernetes).
  • In-depth knowledge of
    identity lifecycle management, access governance, RBAC, and privileged access
    .
  • Proven ability to
    lead and mentor teams
    while remaining hands-on in solution development and troubleshooting.
  • Experience in
    financial services
    or highly regulated industries is highly desirable.
