ELC Early Learning Childhood Teacher

The Early Childhood Teacher will be part of a team of professional early childhood educators. The responsibility of the Redeemer Lutheran School Early Learning Centre is to professionally and personally represent the school in a positive and faithful light.

The Early Childhood Teacher reports directly to and is responsible to the Principal and Directors of the Early Learning Centre.

The Early Childhood Teacher should have proven teaching ability and display sound pedagogical understanding of the inquiry process and curriculum in the Early Learning Centre. It is expected that the Early Childhood Teacher will have sound knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework and understanding of the Reggio Emilia approach and the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme.

A commitment to collaborative planning is central to the philosophy of the Early Learning Centre. The role of the Early Childhood Teacher is to be committed to working alongside colleagues, children, families and the wider community to deliver high quality early education.

The Early Childhood Teacher will be guided in this role by the philosophy of the Early Learning Centre, Mission, Vision and Values of the centre, along with other relevant policies.
