Tasks & Responsibilities

We are currently seeking an experience Sheetmetal Trades Worker to join us on a full-time ongoing basis.

Duties include but are not limited to:

· Read and understand customer drawings and specifications.

· Determine job requirements and detailing for production

· Identify appropriate materials required such as stainless steel, galvanised steel, mild steel, aluminium, copper, zinc and Colourbond for processing.

· Capability to mark out material and using hand tools such as gauges and templates.

· Shaping and manipulating metal stock using Brake Press, Guillotines, Notches & Rollers and hammers/mandrels.

· Ability to complete the assembly and joining of product by welding, resistance welding and or mechanical fasteners such bolting, screwing, riveting or soldering.

· Ability to complete finishing on a product by polishing, filing, sanding (for pre powder coat) and cleaning.

· Ability to prepare materials such as cleaning, edge prepping and face condition for manufacture.

Ideally, candidates will have at least three years of relevant experience and sound knowledge of both industrial and commercial metalworking.
