About the role

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Chef / Cook to join the vibrant team at Arlo' in Portarlington, Victoria. This is a casual position, offering flexibility and the ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced hospitality environment.

What you'll be doing

1. Preparing and cooking high-quality meals for customers
2. Ensuring all dishes are presented to a consistently high standard
3. Maintaining strict food safety and hygiene standards
4. Collaborating with the wider kitchen team to deliver an exceptional dining experience
5. Assisting with menu development and implementing new recipes
6. Monitoring stock levels and placing orders as required
7. Maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment

What we're looking for

1. Proven experience as a Chef or Cook in a fast-paced hospitality environment
2. Minimum 6 months or less experience as a chef or cook is required
3. A passion for creating delicious, high-quality meals
4. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to food safety and hygiene
5. Food safety training will be provided to successful candidates
6. Excellent communication and teamwork skills
7. The ability to work calmly under pressure in a fast-paced environment
8. A qualification in Hospitality or Culinary Arts would be highly regarded
9. Valid Australian work visa or work rights are required
