About the role
The Senior Manager, Admissions is a senior leadership position accountable for overseeing and enhancing transforming and leading UNE's admission and credit services at an institutional level. Reporting to the Director Student Services, you will conceptualise and implement major strategic initiatives that reshape admissions policy and drive University-wide change. This role requires you to lead high-performing teams while building strategic partnerships with government bodies, other universities, and education sector stakeholders to position UNE at the forefront of admissions innovation. You will be responsible for setting longer-term performance objectives, managing substantial budgets with appropriate financial delegation, and authorising significant operational decisions within the University's Delegations of Authority. Your expertise will drive data-informed transformation initiatives - including AI-enabled admissions systems and automated credit pathways - while ensuring regulatory compliance and optimising student outcomes. Through high-level liaison with internal and external stakeholders, you will develop and implement programs that fundamentally impact the University's operations, student experience, and market position, with accountability for achieving strategic enrolment targets and institutional growth objectives.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Strategic leadership expertise with proven ability to conceptualise and implement institutional-level policies, drive transformational change, and achieve University-wide objectives while maintaining operational excellence.
- Exceptional people leadership demonstrating accountability for building high-performance cultures, leading complex organisational change and developing strategic capability across multiple teams.
- Advanced stakeholder engagement skills to influence and negotiate with senior executives, government bodies and sector partners while driving cross-functional collaboration for institutional outcomes.
- Sophisticated analytical capability to synthesise complex data into strategic insights, set long-term performance frameworks, and make evidence-based decisions that impact University positioning and growth.

The Student Journey portfolio is responsible for all aspects of the student experience at UNE to ensure quality of provision from enrolment to graduation and what follows. Through institutional collaboration the Division supports the University's strategy, in ensuring all UNE students and UNE graduates have an experience which supports and enables their academic success and future life course progress
