Senior Software Engineer Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain a modern C++ software platform that powers connected consumer devices.
  • Help shape new features and product capabilities from idea to implementation.
  • Contribute to improving software development processes and tooling.
  • Work closely with an international team
  • Be hands-on with embedded Linux environments — debugging, testing, and optimising performance.

Senior Software Engineer Requirements

  • 6+ years of professional software development experience, with at least 4 years in modern C++
  • A few years of experience developing in a Linux environment.
  • Familiarity with GStreamer or other audio frameworks.
  • Solid understanding of software design principles.
  • You're proactive, independent, and not afraid to get things done.
  • Understanding of networking concepts — TCP/UDP, sockets, multicast/unicast.
  • Experience debugging with tools like GDB and Valgrind.
  • Some exposure to CI/CD pipelines.

This is a fulltime position, based in Sydney, 2 days a week. Here, you'll get to work on real products used by millions of people worldwide.
