Full Time Procurement Manager
Due to the expansion of our school we are currently recruiting for the position of procurement manager to join our dynamic team. We are currently seeking a strategic and experienced Procurement Manager to oversee the school's purchasing and supplier management processes. This role is essential in ensuring that the school acquires goods and services efficiently, ethically, and within budget, supporting the daily operation of our learning environment while achieving value for money.The main duties of this position include but not limited to the following:
· Manage all procurement activities across the school – including facilities, resources, IT, uniforms and other services.
· Identify, evaluate, and engage suppliers in line with school needs and compliance standards.
· Develop and maintain contracts, vendor agreements, and preferred supplier relationships.
· Monitor and manage procurement budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and financial accountability.
· Ensure purchasing procedures align with school policies and relevant legal/compliance frameworks.
· Collaborate with teaching, admin, and facilities teams to forecast purchasing needs and priorities.
· Maintain accurate procurement records and reporting for auditing and school board reporting.
· Drive continuous improvement across procurement systems and processes.
The Procurement Manager is expected to exhibit the following qualities and competencies:
· Proven experience in procurement, preferably in an education setting.
· Strong understanding of purchasing policies, budgeting, and supplier negotiation.
· Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
· Experience with procurement or finance software (XERO)
· High ethical standards and attention to detail, especially in regulated environments.
· Ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively across school departments.
· Tertiary qualifications in Business, Procurement, Supply Chain or related field.
Remuneration: We Offer a competitive salary package ($77,000 - $95,000 per annum), commensurate with experience.
