About the role
National Care Academy is a national organisation specialising in delivering high quality training in the Health and Community Services Sector.
Due to growth and expansion, we are seeking a casual trainer and assessor, with experience delivering face to face and blended/online vocational education programs and a commitment to providing a high standard of training and service to our students and clients.
This position is based on the Sunshine Coast, with regional travel as required.
Responsibilities include:
- Delivery of training programs via a combination of face to face, work-based and online delivery.
- Providing tailored support to students
- Support students completing work placement requirements.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of learning and assessment resources.
- Contribute to ongoing continuous improvement and validation activities.
- Maintain ongoing compliance with regulatory requirements.
Qualifications and Selection Criteria
To be successful you must meet the selection criteria and demonstrate that you hold the following:
Qualifications:
- TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or higher
- CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual Support or similar
- CHC43015 Certificate IV in Ageing Support or similar
- Be an Enrolled or Registered Nurse (preferable)
Selection Criteria
- A minimum of three years current industry experience in the Aged Care and/or Disability sector or similar
- Current driver's licence and own vehicle
- Valid National Police Check or ability to obtain
- Excellent organisational and presentation skills
- A minimum of two years teaching experience
- Superior communication skills with the ability to engage with learners and stakeholders across a range of contexts.
- Exceptional people skills and a service orientated attitude.
- Willingness and ability to travel to regional centres as required.
