The Opportunity
The aim of Wandiyali and its services is to 'Keep our Culture Strong'. As a Wandi Brighter Futures Caseworker, you will provide early intervention support for vulnerable children and families through a Cultural lens.
Brighter Futures involves case management, access to childcare, parenting programs which includes but not limited to Safe care, home visiting and brokerage in order to improve emotional, social, health, educational and developmental outcomes for children and their families.

Essential criteria;
1. A commitment to the Vision, Mission, and Values of our Organisation
2. Identifies as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander
3. Demonstrated knowledge, experience, or willingness to commit to further training in implementing evidence-based parenting programs
4. Experience in working with families with children within the child protection sector
5. Demonstrated experience in assessment and case planning to moderate risks in vulnerable families
6. Demonstrated knowledge of child development and how to assess children's developmental needs
7. Knowledge and experience in working with families where there are high needs challenges including drug and alcohol use, mental health and domestic violence and experience in child protection
8. Highly developed interpersonal skills including an understanding of counselling, mediation, and conflict resolution
9. Demonstrated ability to work as a member of a busy team and be self-motivated.
10. Demonstrated commitment and ability to maintain confidentiality and accountability, including client records, team and organisational discussions
11. The ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with other services our community and attend local network events
12. Demonstrated ability to participate positively in teamwork, training, and supervision processes.
13. Proven effective written and verbal communication skills
14. Experience in appropriate record keeping, report writing, and data entry
15. Ability and willingness to implement appropriate and respectful conflict resolution strategies within the community and working environment
16. Current NSW driver's licence
17. Current paid successful Working with Children check
18. Current first aid certificate
19. Successful National police check
