About the Company

Quinn Allan has been exclusively engaged by an outsourced accounting firm to appoint an experienced finance professional to a newly created position. Based in Sunshine, this firm has a well-established client base spanning multiple sectors, with increasing demand for services driving this role. This presents a unique opportunity to work closely with the Practice Owner, with the possibility of future succession involvement, subject to mutual interest.

About the Role

Supporting clients within the SME sector, this role will be responsible for delivering high-quality accounting services and maintaining strong client relationships. The position is integral to ensuring the firm continues to meet the growing needs of its clients. Responsibilities will include the preparation of financial statements, lodgement of tax returns, and provision of advisory services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and lodge individual and business tax returns in accordance with Australian tax legislation.
  • Preparing financial statements and related accounting documentation.
  • Provide advisory services to clients, including business structuring, investment property taxation, and SMSF accounting.
  • Manage client bookkeeping and support cloud-based accounting systems such as Xero, MYOB, and QuickBooks.
  • Ensure the accurate and timely completion of BAS and GST reporting.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships, delivering professional and personalised service.
  • Contribute to the firm's ongoing growth, efficiency, and service excellence initiatives.

About You

  • Qualified Accountant with hands-on experience in a business services environment.
  • Experience within a Top 50 accounting firm is highly desirable.
  • Strong technical knowledge of accounting, taxation, and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on delivering exceptional client service.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple engagements and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Ambitious, motivated, and eager to progress within the firm, with the potential to contribute to its future growth.
