Our ideal candidate will bring a combination of cultural knowledge, leadership experience, and strategic capability.
We're looking for someone who embodies respect, integrity, and a commitment to reconciliation.
You will ideally demonstrate most or all of the following:
- Demonstrated cultural capability, including the ability to provide mentorship and support to First Nations staff, and to foster cultural learning and safety across the organisation.
- Proven experience in building and maintaining respectful, strategic partnerships with First Nations people, organisations, and internal stakeholders.
- Strong leadership and project management skills, with experience designing, implementing, and evaluating initiatives aligned with strategic frameworks such as a Reconciliation Action Plan and Closing the Gap priorities.
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to facilitate culturally safe conversations and engage diverse audiences with clarity, empathy, and influence.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, exercising sound professional judgement and decision-making in complex or sensitive cultural contexts.
