Djinda Dreaming Education-Armadale is seeking a caring and dedicated cook who

What You'll Be Doing


• Plan, prepare, and serve healthy, balanced meals and snacks for the children attending our service.


• Ensure all food preparation and storage meet health and safety regulations.


• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe kitchen environment.


• Collaborate with the educators and families to accommodate dietary requirements, allergies, and preferences.


• Monitor stock levels and manage supplier relationships to maintain pantry supplies.

What We're Looking For


• Relevant qualifications and experience as a cook, particularly with children's meal preparation, is desirable but not essential


• Knowledge of nutrition, food safety, and hygiene standards.


• Exceptional time management and organisational skills to work efficiently in a busy environment.


• A collaborative team player who communicates effectively with staff and families.


• A genuine passion for providing children with high-quality, nourishing meals.

What you'll need:

  • Food Handling Certificate and Food Supervisor Certificate (desirable but not essential as we will organise this training course for you)
  • Previous experience as a Childcare Cook (not essential as we will provide you with the relevant training required)
  • Certificate III in Cookery (desirable but not essential)
  • Current & Valid Working with Children Check
  • First Aid and CPR certificates including Asthma and Anaphylaxis training
  • Experience in Menu planning, budgeting, stock ordering & control
  • Experience in dietary and allergy safe requirements.
  • Certificate III or Diploma in Children's Services would also be highly regarded
