*What You'll be Doing*

This role is responsible for the performance of complex clinical procedures of ultrasound whilst ensuring these ultrasound procedures are performed with a high standard of practice and patient care. Perform daily patient workload as a competent and reliable sonographer and includes the day to day management of throughput and patient care, patient scheduling as well as training of sonographers and student sonographers within a quality framework.

1. Degree of Applied Science in Medical Radiation Science (Radiography or Nuclear Medicine) or equivalent.
2. Current registration with Australian Health Professionals Registration Authority (AHPRA) as a Radiographer or Nuclear Medicine Scientist and hold a current NSW EPA Radiation license.
3. Appropriate qualification of Postgraduate Study in Medical Sonography and valid Ultrasound accreditation from ASAR. Eligible for membership with either of the following ASA/ASUM/ASMIRT.
4. Demonstrated knowledge, experience and competence in ultrasound and previous experience in either radiography or nuclear medicine in a medical imaging clinical setting.
5. Demonstrated high level interpersonal communication skills applied to a patient environment, as well as proven effective report writing skills.
6. Evidence of capacity to prioritise workload and achieve outcomes.
7. Demonstrated application of analysis and problem-solving skills to a range of clinical situations to develop effective solutions.
8. Demonstrated application of professional and ethical boundaries when working with complex situations as-part of a multi-disciplinary team.
