People & Performance Manager

GO.FARM is an Australian-owned, high-conviction agricultural investor, developer and manager with a clear purpose to transform Australian agriculture. We identify underutilised and undercapitalised agricultural assets and reimagine them through land use change, investment in people, and adoption of climate-smart technologies.
About The Role
This is not a traditional HR role. It's an opportunity to be a strategic culture and capability
builder; one that sits at the heart of GO.FARM's growth.
As People & Performance Manager, you will help shape an environment where our people
thrive. You'll partner closely with leaders to drive a high-performing, happy, safe and
values-led workplace. Your work will directly contribute to unlocking performance,
attracting outstanding talent and supporting the growth of our talented team.
This role is for someone who is excited by the scale of the opportunity in agriculture and
who knows that great businesses are built on great people.
About You
You're a capable and confident People & Culture professional, passionate about building
great teams and even greater cultures. You know how to balance big-picture strategy
with hands-on delivery. You have the emotional intelligence to hold space for people, the
commercial acumen to influence outcomes, and the drive to see your work make a
difference.
You likely have:
- Proven experience in people and culture roles, ideally in fast-paced, complex or growth environments.
- Strong knowledge of Australian employment legislation and Award interpretation (particularly in agriculture, or a willingness to learn fast).
- Deep care for people and a track record of creating workplaces where teams thrive.
- A natural ability to partner with leaders to coach, challenge, and enable performance.
- A love of systems, process improvement and building things that scale.
- A values-led leadership style; people trust you, and you lead with heart and integrity.
- (Bonus points for experience in regional or agricultural industries, or in supporting a geographically distributed workforce.)
Key Accountabilities
- Be a trusted partner to leaders and teams, helping them build high-performing, engaged, values-led teams.
- Lead the design and delivery of key People & Performance strategies across the full employee lifecycle — from attraction and onboarding to development and progression.
- Be a champion of The GO.FARM Way, ensuring our values are embedded in how we hire, develop, recognise and grow our people.
- Help us shape and grow our Employee Value Proposition to attract, retain and inspire great people and giving them big things to do
- Drive culture-building initiatives that promote inclusion, wellbeing, engagement and excellence.
- Provide confident, compliant and compassionate support on employee relations matters.
- Take ownership of core people processes including remuneration, benefits, awards interpretation, and policy development.
- Support and elevate the GO.FARM graduate and leadership development programs.
- Lead and contribute to high-impact strategic projects that help us evolve our approach to People & Performance, ensuring we have the best team in Australian agriculture.
