Warningakalinga Aboriginal Corporation is looking for Remote Community Store Managers that have a passion for working with Aboriginal people to drive healthy food options at reasonable prices for local communities. You will have the motivation to make a meaningful contribution to the social and economic advancement of Indigenous community store, be well organised go-getters, yet never lose sight of our core values.

About Us
Warningakalinga Aboriginal Corporation (WAC) operates the community store in the community of Angurugu, on Groote Eylandt. As a community run corporation and store, we are guided by our strategic objectives:
- Promote healthy eating- to help lead our community to live better through healthy eating.
- Provide quality food- the store is the custodian of food for the community. Giving our community reliable access to quality and healthy foods.
- Become more self sufficient- Continue to develop and lead our community members to have greater choices in the future.

The Role
Angurugu Community Store - Managers
Managing the Angurugu Community Store is best suited for a pair or couple.
The managers will be accountable for ensuring food security, effective store operations, compliance and managing in a culturally appropriate manner with staff and community customers. There will always be plenty of variety in this role.
The Community Store Managers are responsible for:
- Delivery of food security
- Provision of key services to the community
- Stock management, including ordering, receipting & stocktakes
- Effectively operate the store for long term viability
- Store staffing- roster management
- Customer service and community engagement
- Compliance to state/territory laws and regulations
About You:
- Previous experience working within Indigenous communities
- Demonstrated expertise in community store management & presentation
- Demonstrated stock handling knowledge & experience, including ordering, receipting, price adjustments etc
- Computer skills in using: Worldsmart Grocery Manager
- Leadership skills and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders
- Driver's and Forklift License
- Food Safety Supervisor
- Police clearance
