Contract Structural Engineer (Hourly Rate, Remote)

At Logic Structures, we believe good engineering should be practical, buildable, cost effective and grounded in reality — all whilst achieving architectural and client intent.

We're a Sunshine Coast-based consultancy delivering smart, elegant structural solutions across Queensland. Our projects span education, commercial, retail, industrial, multi-storey and high-end residential builds, and we're known for clear documentation, responsive coordination, and a genuine understanding of how things go together on site.

We're looking for a Contract Structural Engineer with at least 8 years' experience to join us on an hourly-rate basis. The role is remote, flexible, and entirely behind the scenes—no client meetings, no builder calls or Friday deadlines. Just solid, well thought out engineering.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Supporting internal design and documentation across a variety of projects.
  • Applying Australian Standards with clarity and confidence.
  • Creating clean markups for drafting, refining structural concepts & schemes, and shaping buildable solutions.
  • Collaborating directly with our principal engineer—no middlemen, no meetings.
What You Bring
  • Minimum 8 years' experience in Australian structural design.
  • RPEQ registration.
  • Strong grasp of construction methodologies and material behaviour (steel, concrete, timber, masonry).
  • Reliable, responsive, and detail-focused.
  • Comfortable working independently and meeting agreed deadlines.
  • Clear communication and a practical mindset.
