Expressions of interest are invited from ongoing and temporary employees within the NSW Public Sector who wish to be considered for this temporary role for a period up to 6 February 2026.

About the Role

As an Associate, Policy, you will contribute to the development and delivery of emergency management reforms and strategic initiatives that support NSW communities during times of crisis. You'll undertake policy and project work, prepare high-quality advice and briefings, and collaborate with stakeholders across government to inform decision-making and drive service delivery improvements. You will join our Emergency Management branch within the Delivery & Engagement Group. This group plays a vital role in coordinating whole-of-government responses to urgent issues and crises, ensuring effective collaboration and impactful outcomes across agencies.

We're Looking For

• Emergency Management Expertise: Demonstrated experience in managing complex cross-agency coordination and delivery, particularly in emergency management policy reforms.
• Policy Development Skills: Proven ability to research, develop, review and evaluate policy and project initiatives in complex environments.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders across government.
