Mildura Base Public Hospital (MBPH) is a responsive regional health service providing a patient centred approach to care when members of our community are at their most vulnerable, and we do this through a workforce of around 1200 employees who provide care 24/7 to a catchment area of 85,000 community members.
Our Mental Health Services, Adult Recovery & Wellbeing Service (A/RWS) provides ongoing specialist treatment and support to meet the identified recovery goals / needs of clients with serious mental health issues in the community as well as providing support and assistance to external agencies.
About the Role:
A Registered nurse or Endorsed Enrolled Nurse is required to join our established A/RWS team.
The position involves managing and organising the supply and administration of depot treatments (long-acting antipsychotic medication injections) for consumers supported by A/RWS. You will also work closely with case managers in identifying consumer concerns related to their treatment.
Full-time and/or part-time applications will be considered. This role will be rostered in business hours – Monday to Friday.
About You:
The successful candidates will have well-developed clinical skills, particularly intramuscular injections and experience with mental health consumers. Applicants will hold appropriate registration with AHPRA.
In addition, you will also have:
· Experience working as a Registered or Endorsed Enrolled Nurse.
· Highly developed communication skills
- The ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently
- A strong focus on time management
- You will be dedicated to a team orientated work place and be prepared to work in an environment that can offer challenges
- Willingness to complete further training as required.

Employment Conditions
The positions are classified as an RPN 2 or PEN3 under the Victorian Public Mental Health Services Enterprise Agreement.
