Crane Truck Delivery Driver / Operator

WOOD'S CONSTRUCTIONAL ENGINEERS

Location: Dry Creek, SA

Full-Time – Immediate Start Available

Established in 1957, Wood's Constructional Engineers is a reputable and long-standing South Australian steel fabrication company. We are currently seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Crane Truck Delivery Driver / Operator to join our team based at our Dry Creek facility.

Role

  • Safe operation of company crawler crane & truck crane for delivery and collection of fabricated steel products
  • Loading and unloading steel using truck-mounted crane
  • Performing basic load restraint and securing practices in accordance with safety regulations
  • Carrying out pre-start checks and maintaining vehicle cleanliness and logbooks
  • Liaising with workshop and site teams to coordinate deliveries and pickups
  • Assisting in the yard or workshop as required

Responsibilities

  • Deliver materials safely and efficiently to project sites across Adelaide and surrounding regions
  • Maintain vehicle and crane in good working order, reporting any maintenance issues promptly
  • Implement and follow WHS policies and procedures
  • Represent the company professionally when dealing with customers and suppliers
  • Support team operations with a focus on safety, quality, and reliability

Skills and Experience

  • Current HR or HC truck licence (essential)
  • Current HRW Licence (High Risk Work)
  • Vehicle loading crane (CV/HIAB) ticket or equivalent experience (essential)
  • White Card (Construction Industry Induction)
  • Sound knowledge of load restraint and safe operating procedures
  • Physically fit and able to handle manual duties when required
  • Self-motivated with strong time management skills
  • Reliable, professional, and committed to teamwork

Additional skills (advantageous but not essential)

  • Forklift licence
  • Experience delivering to construction or fabrication sites
  • Basic mechanical or yard-hand experience
