Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Fitter located in George Town, TAS. The Fitter will be responsible for performing routine and preventative maintenance on equipment and machinery, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and ensuring machinery operates smoothly. The role involves working closely with other team members to ensure operational efficiency and safety standards are met, completing assigned tasks promptly, and adhering to all workplace safety protocols. The Fitter will also be tasked with assembling and installing machinery components, conducting quality checks, and providing support during shutdowns.

Qualifications

• Mechanical fitting and maintenance skills
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform quality checks
• Experience with assembling and installing machinery components
• Understanding of workplace safety protocols and zero-harm safety standards
• Excellent problem-solving and teamwork skills
• Relevant trade qualifications or certifications
• Experience in the engineering or manufacturing industry is a plus
