About the Role:

Our client is a global leader in packaging, recycling and logistics for a better world and has been in business for over 75 years.

Due to recent growth in the business, they are in need of an experienced Strapper/Forklift Drivers to join the team on a casual ongoing basis with a view to permanency on the night shift.

Night Shift: 9:00pm starts (training will be completed during the afternoon shift with 2:00pm starts)

Duties:

  • Strapping loads in the trucks to ensure they are secured before leaving the yard
  • Operating a counterbalance /clamp forklift to assist with loading and unloading deliveries
  • Completing prestart safety checks
  • Report any safety concerns immediately to your supervisor
  • Loading paper reels weighing 3-10 tonne onto a corrugator in a cardboard manufacturing facility
  • Keeping your work area clean and tidy

To be successful in this role, applicants must have:

  • Current LF Forklift licence
  • Minimum 12 moths experience in grab and counterbalance Forklift Operation
  • Positive attitude with the desire and ability to learn and establish a long-term career
  • Proof of a stable and reliable work history with minimal to no days off
  • Immediate and full availability to work
  • Clean police record
  • Able to pass a drug and alcohol test as well as random onsite testing
