About Us

About the Role
  • Use your skills and knowledge of family violence to support Affected Family Members during their court process.
  • Through single session engagements with applicants, you will assess applicants' immediate non-legal needs, conduct risk assessments and safety planning, and provide applicants with information and referrals to external service providers as needed.
  • Establish and maintain relationships and work closely with a range of internal and external stakeholders, including Judiciary, Court Registrars and community-based organisations.
  • Utilise the MARAM framework and share risk-relevant information under the Family Violence Information Sharing Scheme to support the management of risk and safety to Affected Family Members.

About You
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in a related therapeutic discipline such as social work, psychology or social sciences, and demonstrated experience and knowledge of Family Violence including drivers, risks and issues that can acerbate family violence risk.
  • Sound skills in the provision of support, crisis containment and risk assessment and sound stakeholder engagement skills.
