Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role located in Canberra for a Junior Town Planner. The Junior Town Planner will be responsible for assisting in the development of urban design projects, conducting feasibility studies, engaging in statutory planning processes, and collaborating with various stakeholders. Daily tasks include site analysis, report writing, policy research, and participation in design workshops. The role requires regular interaction with clients, consultants, and government bodies to ensure successful project delivery.

Qualifications

  • A passion for urban design, site analysis and Town planning.
  • Strong research and report writing skills
  • Knowledge of planning policies, legislative frameworks, and feasibility studies
  • Excellent communication and collaborative skills
  • Proficiency in design software and tools such as CAD, GIS, and Adobe Creative Suite is highly regarded
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Either studying or graduated in Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning, Architecture, law, or related field
  • Experience in the design or planning field is a plus
