About us

Growth Farms Australia (GFA) is a privately owned asset management business, focused on delivering investor returns whilst improving the assets and reducing the environmental impacts of the operation.

GFA is responsible for the management of Calrossie Farms, a privately owned enterprise focus consisting of 5,694 ha of rain-grown mixed farming located between Moree and Goondiwindi.

GFA and Calrossie Farms have a strong company culture and are looking for an experienced farm hand to join our team.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Operation and maintenance of a variety of machinery including spraying units, spreaders and chaser bins/headers, depending on operational requirements.
  • This role includes the responsibility for driving a John Deere 616 See & Spray, requiring a strong knowledge of both broadacre and camera spraying is essential, with a strong focus on attention to detail.
  • General farm duties.

  • The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

  • Support and improve WHS practices on the farm.

Key Requirements:

  • Experience operating farm machinery and advanced irrigation experience – must be able to operate a John Deere 616 See & Spray.
  • Shows initiative, responsibility and a positive attitude to work.
  • Be physically fit and able to fulfill all requirements of the role.
  • Willingness to learn.
  • Sound mechanical ability.
  • Additional certifications such as Chem Cert and truck licence are advantageous, however not essential.
  • Driver's licence and own vehicle are essential.
  • MC Licence would be an advantage.
