Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise traffic control operations at construction sites, roadworks, or public events.
  • Implement and monitor Traffic Management Plans (TMPs) to ensure safety and compliance with local regulations.
  • Coordinate and lead traffic control teams, including assigning duties and ensuring proper deployment of personnel and equipment.
  • Conduct site inspections to assess risks and ensure signage, barriers, and equipment are correctly placed.
  • Liaise with stakeholders, including contractors, local councils, and emergency services.
  • Maintain accurate records of incidents, site conditions, and compliance checks.
  • Train and mentor traffic controllers, ensuring all staff follow safety protocols and procedures.

Required Qualifications

  • Traffic Control Tickets (e.g., Control Traffic with stop/slow Bat, Implement Traffic Control Plans).
  • Traffic Management Implementation (TMI) or Traffic Control Supervisor (TCS) accreditation.
  • Australian Business Number (ABN).
  • White Card. (Construction Induction Card).
  • Driver's Licence.
  • Experience in traffic management, 2-3 years minimum.

  • Excellent knowledge of road safety regulations and traffic control standards.
  • Problem-solving abilities to respond to incidents or changing site conditions.
  • Attention to detail for compliance documentation and safety audits.
  • Physical fitness, as the role may involve outdoor work in varying conditions.
