The Role

An opportunity has become available for a Senior Registrar or Registrar (Gastroenterology Hepatology fellow) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.

You will

Fulfil responsibilities of this role in accordance with Queensland Public Service and Gold Coas Hospital and Health Service values
Adhere to the requirements for personal attributes and work ethics are in accordance with the Code of Conduct for all Queensland Public Service Workers 2011
Demonstrate Clinical duties and responsibilities will be in between those of an advanced gastroenterology trainee and a consultant gastroenterologist and involve outpatient, ward based and procedure based care
Involve in research with the aim of completing at least one publication within the year

About you

To be successful in this position you will require:

Bachelor of Medicine or recognised equivalent qualification
AHPRA Registration
The Hepatology Fellow will have completed their three years of core gastroenterology training and be eligible for medical registration in Australia
Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary

Temporary full time (up to 12 months)
Base salary ranging from $ $ per annum (Registrar) or $ $ per annum (Senior Registrar)

The department of Gastroenterology currently has 23 Consultants, 2 Advanced Trainees and 4 Fellow positions. The department has three core subspecialities: Inflammatory Bowel Disease, Endoscopy and Hepatology, along with a comprehensive general Gastroenterology and Nutritional service
