About the role

Maroondah Kids Early Learning Centre is seeking a passionate and experienced Diploma Qualified Assistant to join our dynamic team in Croydon, VIC. As a part-time Diploma Qualified Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality education and care to the children in our centre.

What you'll be doing

  • Implement engaging and developmentally appropriate educational programs for children
  • Assist in creating a nurturing, safe and stimulating learning environment
  • Collaborate with the team to plan and deliver activities that support children's physical, social, emotional and cognitive development
  • Observe and document children's progress, and contribute to their individual learning plans
  • Ensure all centre policies, procedures and regulatory requirements are adhered to
  • Provide a high standard of customer service to families
  • Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities

What we're looking for

  • A Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent qualification
  • Demonstrated experience working in a long day care or early learning centre setting
  • A passion for early childhood education and a commitment to promoting children's learning and development
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with children, families and the team
  • A current Working with Children Check and First Aid certificate
  • Knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standards
