Come and join a "people's people" kind of team Work with a friendly, approachable and understanding company owner who's primary interest is the wellbeing of the staff he will employ.
We are seeking an experienced, motivated general radiographer to join our small, upstart medical imaging business General Radiography with a CT scanner potentially in by the end of the year
No shareholders, no regional managers.... just working with a single company owner wanting to make a difference. The job is based on the north side of Brisbane (Kedron) and is based in a Medicare urgent care centre, performing general x-rays in an acute presentation setting We have an Ultrasound practice already set up around 2 minutes drive from the current X-ray practice.
This is an opportunity for the right candidate to grow with the company. This will be an ongoing growth project that you will really be able to be involved with - whether it be in the way of writing protocols, liaising with referring clinicians or directing the care of patients who present to the centre. You will be working alongside and closely with a small, but highly skilled group of physicians and nurses
You will be responsible for the day to day running of the room, regular QA testing of the equipment and all of the safety procedures associated with an Xray room. You will be working with brand new X-ray equipment in a recently renovated premises. Off site radiologists will be available as well as teleradiology reporting.
The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year post graduate radiography experience and have some experience with accident and emergency work/trauma work or similar. You will need an undergraduate qualification in Diagnostic Radiography and your current radiation licence/AHPRA registration. Knowledge of the basic functions of a PACS system are essential.
We would love you to possess a high level of accuracy and care with your work and take pride in the Xray images that you produce. Being a people person is probably more important than anything: you will be seeing a broad and varied population base here in Brisbane so an ability to adapt quickly and put patient's at ease, is a must
