You'll split your time between our fully equipped Caloundra workshop and mobile diagnostic and repair jobs, keeping your work challenging, interesting, and rewarding. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform routine maintenance and repair of light vehicles, such as servicing, brake and suspension repairs, and tyre replacement.
- Diagnose vehicle problems effectively, with a strong focus on advanced diagnostics and accurately identifying required parts.
- Repair and replace worn and broken parts using standard automotive tools and equipment.
- Conduct safety and performance tests on light vehicles.
- Apply comprehensive knowledge of all vehicle systems, repairs, and complex issues to ensure confidence in diagnostics.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area.
- Communicate effectively with staff and customers.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Certificate III in Automotive Light Vehicle Technology.
- Previous experience in a light vehicle mechanic role.
- Proven diagnostic ability, with strong problem-solving skills and a deep understanding of complex vehicle systems.
- Own hand and power tools.
- Valid manual driver's licence.
- Willing work ethic.
- Ability to work well under pressure.
- Detail oriented with strong organisational skills.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Sense of humour.
