Connect2Employment is a not-for-profit division of Connect2Group based across the Brisbane South Region Employment Services Area. Connect2Group support opportunities for Disability Employment Services (DES ESS) helping individuals with Intellectual and/or Learning Disabilities find independence through employment in the community.
About the role
Connect2Group is searching for a Full-Time Employment Services Consultant who will be based at Cleveland with travel across the Brisbane South Region. This role also offers opportunities to support other areas of business, including service delivery in in-home and community access supports.
The successful applicant will be responsible for providing individualised support and assistance to people with disabilities, so they maintain suitable open employment. The position is responsible for assessment, training and negotiation, monitoring and review of employment support to participants and their employees and will involve negotiation, reverse marketing, case management and training.
Duties include:

Supporting and understanding the participants barriers and working together to develop employment goals and plans to support the participant to achieve these goals.

Supporting and helping your participants identify their skills, abilities, and secure sustainable employment.

Providing and delivering a high level of customer service to our participants, employers and other stakeholders.

Building rapport and supporting our participants to increase their capacity to secure employment through training and other support services.

Creating, tailoring, and implementing a partnered job plan with the participant to support them through the employment journey and into sustainable employment.

Building sustainable and long-lasting relationships with local employers and community organisations.

Explaining to employers the benefits and supports in hiring someone with a barrier/disability.

Reviewing the participants job searching efforts and ensuring they align with their developed employment goals.

Maintain accurate records for participants.
Skills and Experience:
-
Have strong relationship management skills, with the ability to build and maintain internal and external relationships with employers and the participants you are supporting.

Ability to market and advocate for our participants.

Ability to work within a fast-paced team environment.

Understanding of the national Standards for Disability Services will be highly regarded.

Previous experience in Employment Services or Sales will be highly regarded.
