About the Team Lifetime Learner Experience (LLE) Unit is part of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Education and Students portfolio and was formed in 2021 to enable the alignment of a range of learner acquisition, administration and assurance activities which are critical to the success of the UTS 2027 Strategy and in supporting the UTS Vision. About the Role The Officer, Fees & Scholarships is responsible for the efficient administration of student-related matters providing high level fees related support to the Fees Team, its customers and stakeholders, solving problems supported by policy, providing peer training. The Officer, Fees & Scholarships handles a number of competing priorities while monitoring and ensuring operational and customer service standards are met. This position may be affected by leave exclusion periods, work rotation and shift work. If successful in applying for this role, you will be responsible for:
• Administering and processing tuition fees, loans, scholarships, prizes, and related fee operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely service delivery.
• Providing accurate and client-focused advice to students, staff, and external stakeholders, interpreting legislation, policies, and procedures.
• Using technology effectively for reporting, analysis, peer training, and maintaining data and records integrity.
• Auditing financial records of scholarships and prizes and ensure compliance with Department of Education regulations.
• Contributing to process improvements and communicating effectively with diverse stakeholders on fees and scholarship matters. Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills, including the ability to proactively identify issues, provide advice and exercise sound judgement within the area of responsibility.2. Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as contributing to team tasks and deadlines and contributing to the improvement of business practices and performance.3. A high degree of accuracy with figures and high-level numeracy skills, including the ability to manipulate and analyse data from a range of sources.4. Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain key internal and external stakeholder relationships applying diplomacy and tact in a pressured environment. Remuneration & Benefits Base Salary Range: $83,906 - $95,989 pa (HEW 5) This role attracts 17% superannuation (pension) in addition to the base salary. This position is full-time, and appointment will be made on a fixed term basis for 12 months. The interviews for this role will be conducted on Thursday 9th October 2025.
