About us

Located in East Sydney, we are a well-established family law firm and pride ourself on our professionalism and personal service. We specialise in all things family law.

The Role

We are looking for a permanent fixture to our team. This is NOT a role suitable for a law graduate or qualified solicitor and if you are either of those you really shouldn't apply. As a legal secretary, you will support the Director and our busy lawyers with our existing experienced admin team. Typing is not essential to this role as dictation is typed externally. We offer a highly competitive market salary commensurate with your experience.

Your day will include (with our existing staff):

  • Managing diaries;
  • Arranging appointments;
  • Preparing documents, correspondence and briefs;
  • File management;
  • Personal attention to our clients;
  • Managing admin matters and delegating duties to our junior admin staff;
  • Typing from time to time where required (most typing is done offsite)

The Candidate

To be considered for this great role you must have:

  • Experience in a similar role-you need to know your way around a file;
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience working as a legal secretary;
  • Family law experience is highly preferred;
  • Excellent time-management and organisational skills;
  • Experience with Affinity (or the ability to pick up tech fast);
  • Superior and friendly communication skills;
  • Professional presentation;
  • The ability to work autonomously and on your own initiative (when not working with your team);
  • A positive can-do attitude;
