We are currently seeking a dedicated Residential Cleaner to join our compassionate team and help maintain our community facilities to the highest standard.

Your role and responsibilities:

As a Residential Cleaner with You Belong Community Care, you will play a key role in maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable living environment for our residents. Your duties will include, but are not limited to:

Cleaning and Maintenance

  • Perform general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting of all living areas.
  • Clean and sanitise bathrooms, kitchens, communal areas, and resident rooms.
  • Empty bins and manage waste disposal according to facility guidelines.
  • Maintain cleanliness of windows, furniture, and appliances.
  • Report any maintenance or safety issues promptly to the supervisor.

Health and Safety

  • Follow infection control and hygiene protocols to ensure a safe and sanitary environment.
  • Use cleaning products and equipment safely and according to instructions.
  • Adhere to workplace health and safety policies at all times.

Resident Support

  • Respect residents' privacy, dignity, and personal space while cleaning their areas.
  • Communicate politely and professionally with residents and staff members.
  • Support the overall wellbeing of residents by maintaining a pleasant, clean environment.

Teamwork and Organisation

  • Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure all cleaning tasks are completed efficiently.
  • Maintain cleaning checklists and stock records.
  • Participate in training sessions and meetings as required.

Role requirements:

Requirements for the role vary based on what type of support services you would like to provide. At minimum, all applicants are required to have (or be willing to obtain) the following prior to starting work:

  • Resume
  • Police Check
  • 100 Points of ID - Drivers License, Medicare, Passport, Birth Certificate etc
  • Visa (if required)
  • Language - Arabic
  • Experience in cleaning - a minimum of 6 months to 12 months

Shift Times:

Monday - Friday 6.00AM - 3.30PM
