About Our Restaurant

Benton Bento is a popular Japanese restaurant in Ascot Vale, Melbourne. We make fresh sushi, bento boxes, and authentic Japanese food. We also do catering for events and parties.

What You Will Do

- Help the Head Chef run the kitchen every day

- Cook Japanese food (sushi, bento boxes, hot dishes)

- Train and help other kitchen staff

- Keep food quality very high

- Follow all food safety rules

- Help order ingredients and control costs

- Help with catering orders

What We Need

Must Have:

- 3 years working in restaurant kitchens

- Know how to make Japanese food (or willing to learn)

- Good knife skills

- Can work under pressure when busy

- Food Safety certificate (or get one quickly)

- Can work evenings and weekends

- Team player

Good to Have:

- Experience making sushi

- Worked as sous chef before

- Experience with catering
