The Mental Health Inpatient Unit at the Mackay Base Hospital is seeking applications for a Patient Flow Coordinator (Clinical Nurse) to join their team on a permanent basis.

Your opportunity

The Patient Flow Coordinator (Clinical Nurse) provides advanced level clinical skills to ensure patient-focused evidence-based nursing care, coordinates the clinical management of patient/client care, and provides leadership and support to other nursing staff within the Mental Health Inpatient Unit. The activities are predominantly clinical in nature, but also provide support to the Nurse Grade 7 or above in management activities within the Division of Mental Health and Alcohol and Other Drug Services

About the Team

The Mental Health Inpatient Unit provides care to people who are experiencing an acute episode of mental illness. If a person is admitted to an acute inpatient unit, it is often because their mental illness is not manageable in a less restrictive setting, such as community-based support.
