Telehealth Consultant Psychiatrist 400 per hour Emerging Treatments

We are now looking to connect with Consultant Psychiatrists interested in innovative, evidence based treatments for people living with treatment resistant depression.

This role would best suit a Consultant Psychiatrist who is interested in emerging therapies, enjoys working flexibly via telehealth and is committed to safe, structured, patient-centred care.

Remuneration is $400 per hour seeing 1-2 px. Starting with 1 day per week with the ability to scale up.

This role will see you play a central role in assessing and managing patients remotely and guiding patients through their treatment journey. Patients are treated in-clinic under direct medical supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct psychiatric assessments, diagnosis, and treatment planning via telehealth
  • Prescribe in line with TGA and PBS guidelines for eligible patients seeking treatment
  • Provide ongoing psychiatric follow-up, monitoring treatment response and safety
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team (nurses, psychologists, care coordinators) to deliver integrated care
  • Maintain accurate and compliant medical records
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of treatment protocols and patient experience

About You

  • Specialist registration with AHPRA as a Consultant Psychiatrist with no restrictions or conditions
  • Current authority to prescribe Schedule 8 medications (or willingness to obtain)
  • Strong commitment to patient safety, evidence-based care, and ethical prescribing
  • Comfortable working via telehealth and using digital health tools
  • Excellent communication skills and collaborative approach
  • Flexible, contractor arrangements starting with half a day up to 2 days per week with potential to increase hours
