Role Description
This is a casual on-site role for a Veterinarian located in Geelong, VIC. The Veterinarian will be responsible for diagnosing and treating medical conditions in animals, conducting routine check-ups and vaccinations, performing surgeries, and providing emergency care as needed. They will work closely with veterinary nurses and other staff to ensure the highest standard of care for all patients. Additionally, the role involves communicating with pet owners, offering advice on animal care and treatment options, and maintaining accurate medical records.
Qualifications
- Veterinary Medicine – professional degree (DVM, BVSc)
- Diagnostic skills – proficiency in identifying and treating various medical conditions in animals
- Surgical skills – experience in performing routine and complex surgeries
- Emergency care – ability to provide urgent care and manage critical cases
- Communication and Interpersonal skills – excellent ability to interact with pet owners and team members
- Compassion and empathy towards animals and their owners
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Professional registration to practice veterinary medicine in Australia
