Applications are invited for the following position commencing in Term 1 of 2026 at Immanuel Lutheran College.

Brass Tutor

Requirements of the Position:

• Advanced knowledge and experience in preparing students for music exams (including AMEB and TRINITY).
• Experienced in teaching individual lessons, group lessons, directing ensembles, coordinating sectionals.
• Candidate must work as part of a large team of tutors and be highly organised, professional in presentation, focused and engaging.
• Advanced performance levels on one or more brass instruments (AMusA or equivalent performance standard) - Immanuel currently has students studying Trumpet, Trombone, French Horn, Euphonium & Tuba.
• Experience in teaching instrumental music lessons in a school setting (primary and secondary).
• Be be supportive of the aims and Christian ethos of the College.
• Position requires tutor to be available at various times during school terms (school hours and after hours).
• Must hold a current Blue Card.
• Hours and days of work to be negotiated.
