We're looking for reliable, health-conscious team members who want more than just a retail job – this is a chance to share your passion for herbs and help customers feel at home on their health journey.

In this role, you'll create a welcoming store experience, guiding customers with warmth and knowledge while also handling core retail duties such as receiving stock, replenishing shelves, and maintaining a clean, inviting space. Previous retail experience is valued but not essential, as full training is provided.

The ideal candidate will bring a positive attitude, strong communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a busy retail environment. You'll be confident working independently under the guidance of a manager, including trusted responsibilities such as opening and closing the store with a key and accurately cashing up at the end of day. Strong time management will also be essential to balance customer service, stock handling, and maintaining a clean, organised, and visually appealing store.

We are seeking two permanent part-time team members, each working around 16–18 hours per week across two weekday shifts. This role comes with the benefits of paid leave and public holidays, as well as full training and ongoing support. As the store develops, there will be opportunities to take on greater responsibilities and, in time, grow into leadership roles with additional hours.

Some flexibility with days and hours will be required to meet business needs, and extra shifts may be available to cover leave or staff absences.

The store is scheduled to open in late September or early October, with the role commencing from this time

Role & Responsibilities

The primary responsibility of this role is to provide exceptional customer service while supporting the smooth day-to-day operations of the retail store. Key duties include:

Pre-Shift Preparation:

  • Arrive punctually and prepare for the day with a professional, positive attitude.
  • Open the store securely as a keyholder, following opening procedures.
  • Ensure the store is clean, organised, and ready to welcome customers.
  • Review daily tasks and priorities with the manager or team leader.

Customer Service & Sales:

  • Greet customers warmly and create a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Assist customers in exploring products, answering questions, and providing information on herbs and health products.
  • Process sales accurately using the POS system, including cash and EFTPOS transactions.
  • Support customers in finding products that meet their needs, while maintaining a non-judgmental and respectful approach.

Stock Management:

  • Receive, check, and unpack inbound stock orders.
  • Replenish shelves and displays to ensure products are well-stocked, tidy, and attractively presented.
  • Rotate stock to maintain freshness and check for accurate labelling and pricing.

Store Presentation:

  • Maintain a clean, organised, and visually appealing retail space at all times.
  • Assist with setting up displays and promotional signage as directed.
  • Ensure all health and safety standards are met within the store environment.

End-of-Day Pack-Up & Closing Duties:

  • Accurately reconcile sales and cash-up tills at the end of shift.
  • Securely close and lock the store as a keyholder, following closing procedures.
  • Tidy and reset the store for the next trading day.
  • Complete any cleaning or restocking tasks before closing.

Independence – confident in managing tasks, following opening and closing procedures, and upholding store standards with minimal supervision.

A willingness to learn and grow – engaging with ongoing training to deepen product knowledge and, over time, stepping into greater responsibility and potential leadership.
