About the Role:

Workforce Extensions is currently seeking an experienced CNC Router Operator to join our client's production team in Campbelltown. In this role, you'll operate a MultiCam CNC Router to produce high-quality parts from various materials, including aluminum, wood, plastics, and composites. You'll work from CAD drawings and technical files to ensure precise and efficient output.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Set up and operate MultiCam CNC Routers to cut, shape, and drill materials.
  • Interpret CAD drawings and work instructions to produce components to specification.
  • Load and secure materials using machine beds or vacuum tables.
  • Adjust program settings, tooling, and offsets for optimal results.
  • Monitor the machine during operation to ensure quality and precision.
  • Conduct regular maintenance and cleaning of the machine as per guidelines.
  • Inspect finished parts using calipers, tape measures, or precision tools.
  • Report defects, inconsistencies, or equipment issues to supervisors or maintenance.
  • Collaborate with design, fabrication, and assembly teams to optimize workflow.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.

What You Bring:

Experience & Technical Skills:

  • 2+ years' experience operating CNC routers; MultiCam experience preferred.
  • Skilled in G-code, CNC programming, and CAM software (e.g. EnRoute).
  • Familiarity with material properties, tooling, and cutting speeds for various substrates.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.

Soft Skills:

  • High attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and quality.
  • Good time management and organizational abilities.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior experience operating a MultiCam CNC Router or similar industrial machine.
  • Background in signage, cabinetry, custom fabrication, or related fields.
  • Understanding of vacuum hold-down systems and tool change procedures.
