About Our Client

Tragear & Harris Lawyers and Mornington Legal are respected boutique practices based in Sandringham and Mornington, part of the Nesh Legal Group. With a strong community presence, they specialize in Wills and Estates, Property and Commercial law, and Family law. They're seeking a motivated lawyer to join their dynamic team and contribute to their continued success.

What you'll be doing?
  • Client consultations: Conduct conferences with clients, providing expert legal advice and guidance.
  • Case management: Handle your own files autonomously with minimal supervision, demonstrating your expertise and initiative.
  • Court representation: Attend court proceedings, advocating for your clients' interests.
  • Professional communication: Correspond effectively with other professionals, counsel, and the court.
  • Legal documentation: Prepare court documents and other legal paperwork with precision and attention to detail.
  • Versatile legal support: Assist with general legal matters, applying a common-sense approach in a boutique general law firm setting.
  • Team collaboration: Contribute to office duties as needed, supporting the overall efficiency of the practice.
Who are they looking for?
  • Experienced professional: A qualified lawyer with 5+ years post-admission experience, with more experienced candidates highly valued.
  • Legal credentials: Preferably holding a current unrestricted Practicing Certificate, though this is not mandatory.
  • Wills and Estates expertise: Possessing good knowledge of Wills and Estate matters to serve clients effectively.
  • Autonomous worker: Able to work well both independently and as part of a team, taking ownership of your work.
  • Software proficiency: Experience with LEAP Legal Software would be advantageous but not essential.
  • Litigation understanding: Familiarity with litigation matters, particularly in Estate and Trust litigation.
  • Probate proficiency: Experience in Probate and Administration processes from grant application to estate administration.
  • Family law experience: Knowledge in Family law matters is preferred but not essential for the role.
