DC Operations Manager

The Role:
We are seeking a hands-on Logistics Operations Manager to lead and oversee the daily operational performance at our Distribution Centre (DC) in Tottenham. This pivotal role requires strong leadership to manage inbound/outbound freight, workforce resources, safety compliance, and cost efficiency. You will drive operational excellence, enhance customer service, and lead continuous improvement initiatives in a safe and compliant environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage inbound and outbound freight operations ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.
- Lead daily order fulfillment, inventory control, and stock accuracy.
- Oversee vendor returns and equipment asset management.
- Provide professional customer service and liaise with internal teams and external partners.
- Lead, coach, and develop a small team to achieve high performance and safety standards.
- Drive continuous improvement projects, operational reporting, and compliance with safety regulations.
- Conduct incident investigations and site safety inspections.
- Manage warehouse layout improvements and maintain cleanliness and operational organization.
What We're Looking For:
- Experience in warehouse, logistics, or distribution centre operations, preferably with small team leadership.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Sound knowledge of WHS (Workplace Health and Safety) and manual handling practices.
- Proficiency with inventory management systems.
- Forklift license or willingness to obtain one.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
