About the Role:

As a Junior Apprentice, you will work closely with our experienced team to learn and develop skills in heavy vehicle maintenance and repair. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience while working in a professional workshop environment.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Assisting with the maintenance and repair of our fleet of heavy vehicles and equipment.
• Performing mechanical work on trailers, including suspensions and pneumatic/hydraulic systems.
• Servicing and repairing brakes, testing, and fixing basic electrical circuits, and wiring harnesses and lights for new trailers.
• Learning diagnostic techniques and how to perform mechanical inspections.
• Using and maintaining workplace tools and equipment effectively.
• Keeping the workplace clean and tidy at all times, contributing to a safe and efficient workshop environment.
• Maintaining detailed records of work performed and participating in safety practices.

What We're Looking For:

• A genuine interest in the heavy vehicle and transport industry.
• A strong willingness to learn and develop mechanical skills.
• Attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions.
• A commitment to safety and maintaining a positive team environment.
• Certificate II in Automotive Servicing Technology (Heavy Vehicle Servicing Pre-Apprenticeship (preferred but not essential)
• Basic knowledge of tools and equipment (preferred but not essential).
• Punctual, reliable, and energetic.
• Team player with a strong work ethic.
• A valid Driver's Licence.
