Franklyn, Queensland's largest manufacturer of blinds, awnings and security screens, require the services of an enthusiastic showroom consultant to join our North Lakes Showroom.

The opportunity is for a Casual Employee, working every Saturday (9.00am-5pm) and Sunday (10am-4pm), plus additional days as required at our North Lakes Showroom. The role involves sales as well as maintaining the showroom, answering phones & emails, cleaning and of course customer service.

Franklyn is Brisbane's leading manufacturer of Blinds Awnings and Security. As a locally owned and operated business, we have successfully assisted the people of Brisbane with their window furnishing needs for over 36 years. Franklyn is a trusted household brand and continues to grow, now with 6 showrooms across South East Queensland.

Full training will be provided however a background in retail sales and an interest in interior decorating would be an advantage.

To be successful in this role you will need the following attributes:

  • You must be self-driven, with a proven track record to achieve success in sales- preferably in the window furnishings industry.
  • You have a genuine interest in people, understanding their needs, making recommendations and exceeding expectations in their purchasing experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, good listener and a persuasive sales closer.
  • You are a mature, well presented individual and take pride in your personal appearance.
  • You are available to work every Saturday & Sunday, plus additional days as required.
  • You have excellent time management and administrative skills, and are computer literate.
  • You work well as part of a team.
  • You have a flair for interior design.
  • Interest in learning about new products and ability to maintain knowledge.

Job Type: Casual

Pay: $32.32 – $45.19 per hour

Schedule:

  • Day shift
  • Weekend availability

Work Location: In person
